Motivation for founding the company
Food is essential for life and the source of energy. I founded the company because I believe that "creating a sustainable food infrastructure" in the food domain, where there are many issues and innovation has not occurred for many years, will lead to the growth of mankind.
It was my grandmother, who was in her 90s, who inspired me.
After my grandfather passed away, my grandmother was too lazy to cook for herself, and her diet was unbalanced in terms of nutrition.
Seeing this, I thought to myself, "If I press a button on my smartphone, a cooking robot will cook the food I want, when I want it, while managing nutrition.
Wouldn't such a world bring more smiles to people's faces? Wouldn't that make a lot of people happy?" I began to think.
While working as a management strategy consultant for a foreign company at the time, I began my research.
What surprised me first was that more than 80% of restaurant companies were suffering from a labor shortage.
I was also struck by the high rate of business closures and low profit margins in the restaurant industry.
I became strongly motivated to solve these social problems, so I resigned from my job and worked in the kitchen of a major restaurant chain to study the "kitchen floor.
The situation in the kitchen was miserable. Full-time employees worked long hours due to labor shortages, part-time workers were unmotivated by the repetitive tasks prescribed in the manual, and hygiene management was not considered sufficient.
These experiences remain a major foundation for TechMagic's challenge to solve problems in the restaurant industry and, by extension, in humanity.
We believe that it is important to convert to "human value-added" work.

TechMagic is solving issues in the food industry by integrating hardware and software and incorporating machine learning as intelligence.
Our "Cooking Robot Business" is to reproduce skilled cooking techniques based on the science of cooking, and our "Business Robot Business" is to reproduce simple tasks with low added value.
